Our Pastor

I am Michael Dale, Pastor of Pinewood Lutheran Church.

I lived my early life in the Midwest, and then in the Dallas / Ft. Worth area. I went to Bethany Lutheran College, and then Bethany Lutheran Theological Seminary in Mankato, Minnesota. Before coming to Pinewood, I served a congregation in Florida for about 22 years. I am the son of a Lutheran pastor. I am a music enthusiast — a guitar player and singer. I collect just about every genre of music in just about every format. My wife Chandra and I met in high school, and got married in college. We have three adult children we love very much. We’re fond of our black cat, Licorice. 

I am a pastor because I believe I am called by God to testify to the truth of Scripture, including its teaching of the guilt of all people, who both inherit a sinful nature and then inevitably exhibit sinfulness in their lives. The Bible’s other teaching is of God’s grace in Jesus Christ Who died to make payment for sins and rose again in victory over death and the devil. In Jesus, God promises eternal life in heaven. I invite conversation about the Bible’s teachings.
